Askinosie

Bar: Davao

Origin: Philippines

Taste: hot chocolate, cinnamon, lavender

Taste: smooth, sweet cocoa butter followed by a light goaty tang

Notes: So many different flavor notes from start to finish, such a fun bar. This bar was made for anyone who preordered the book "Meaningful Work" written by Shawn and Lawren Askinosie. (Which I highly recommend)

Arete'

Bar: Peru Nacional

Origin: Maranon Canyon, Peru

Taste: chocolate covered raisins, earthy finish

Tasting Date : 1/31/18

Notes: Smooth mouthfeel and rounded flavors, not too acidic. Immediately tasted like chocolate covered raisins to me, and very strongly- the most pronounced flavor in the bar for me.
